Indicaciones y Función

Opacal by PDSA is a creamy, radiopaque, ready-to-use calcium hydroxide paste. It is indicated for temporary root canal filling when two appointments need to be spaced in endodontic treatment. Its main purpose is to eliminate remaining microorganisms and prevent reinfection between sessions.

Key Properties

Thanks to its alkaline pH (above 12), Opacal is highly effective against pathogens. Its high radiopacity (>300% compared to dentin) ensures easy identification and effective radiographic follow-up. Being a water-based, non-setting paste, it allows for rapid ionic release and effective action during short procedures.

Presentation and Application

Opacal is supplied in a 3 ml syringe with 10 flexible application tips and a digital handle. The Luer-lock connection of the tips ensures safe and precise application within the root canal anatomy. The digital handle enhances control during manipulation. Additional application tips can be requested using the specific reference.
